Ratio is a tool for teams to organize projects and tasks, available at ratioteams.com. Here we explain what data it stores, what for, and what you can do with it.
What data we store
- Your account: name, email and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- If you sign in with Google: Google gives us your name, email and profile picture. We don't ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account.
- What you upload: projects, tasks, comments, notes, diagrams and files uploaded by you or your team.
- Your saved credentials (Credentials section): they're encrypted in your browser with a master key only you know, before they reach us. We only store that encrypted content: we can't read it, or recover it if you forget the master key.
- The AIs you connect: which app you connected (for example Claude or ChatGPT), when, and when it was last used.
- Technical data: a session cookie to keep you logged in and server logs (for example, the IP of login attempts) for security.
What we use it for
Only to make Ratio work: letting you log in, showing you your work and your teams' work, and sending you the app's emails (invitations, password changes, notifications). We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising, and we don't use third-party tracking or analytics tools.
If you connect an AI
You can connect an AI such as Claude or ChatGPT to Ratio (see Connect your AI to Ratio). By approving it, you authorize it to see and change, on your behalf, the same things you can see and change in Ratio, and nothing more. What it does is recorded in each task's history under your name.
- Ratio only receives the requests the AI makes (for example, “list my tasks” or “create this task”). We don't receive your conversations with the AI or store what you write to it.
- What the AI reads from Ratio goes to that app, and there it's governed by its provider's privacy policy (for example, Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT).
- You can disconnect it anytime from Credentials: it loses access immediately.
Who it's shared with
- With the people in the spaces and projects you belong to, according to their permissions.
- With the AIs you connect, as explained above.
- With the services we use to run: the server where the app lives (Oracle Cloud, in Brazil) and the email delivery service (Resend).
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. If you delete something, it goes to the trash and is then permanently deleted. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data; backups are renewed every day and we keep the last 7, so within a week it's gone from them too.
Your rights
You can see and change your data from "My account", and ask us for a copy or to delete your account and data by writing to privacidad@ratioteams.com. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Ratio's access from your Google account.
